After detailed capacity and capability assessment, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India) granted Industrial License (IL) to Dempo Shipbuilding and Engineering Private Ltd for manufacturing and construction of defence ships, including technically advanced and remotely operated Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), Amphibious Vessels, Air Cushion Vehicles (ACVs), Hovercrafts, Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs), Interceptor Boats (IBs), other Auxiliary Support Vessels / Barges and Tugs.
